People believe that spirits hang around because they have unfulfilled business or need attention. Well, that was exactly what I felt that night at the house. When I communicated with the entity and told it to find peace, it seemed to settle the energy in that house. Probably all it needs is someone to acknowledge its presence in all the years it had spent ignored.

A few months later, my friend, the owner of the house, called me. They had recently come from their travels and were settling back in. They were curious about my experience and wanted to know if I would be willing to come back and visit to see if anything had changed. I hesitated at first. The mere thought of returning scared me to death, yet at the same time, I felt as if something was drawing me back to close the circle.
On my return, the house had not really changed—it was as eerie and beautiful as I remembered it. The atmosphere, however, felt like it did not belong. Gone was the oppressive heaviness that I’d felt on my first visit, and instead, there was quiet, almost serenely still silence. My friend reported having gone through no disturbances at all, though they confessed to occasionally hearing faint sounds at night, which they attributed to the age of the house.
