Week 2: Things Become Unexplained
By the second week, things could no longer be so easily ascribed. What had begun as a soft noise disappeared into something sinister. Items inside the house began moving. I can recall I leave my cell phone or keys on the kitchen table, only to later realize that it was actually in a totally different room, often in places where I hadn’t been that day.

My keys were in the basement one morning, though I hadn’t even ventured down there. What’s more, though, was that the basement door was locked when I checked it the night before. How my keys got there, I don’t know.
